Retention sounds great in theory, but what does it actually mean for your bottom line?
In this quick episode, I pull back the curtain on one simple, scroll-stopping sales page strategy that turned heads during the founding member launch of Retention Lab. You’ll hear how I brought the abstract concept of retention to life with a powerful interactive tool that got 83% of page visitors to pause and engage, being sold by their own metrics.
If you’ve ever struggled to explain the value of what you sell (especially the long-term value), this is the episode for you.

“I wanted to come up with a way for people to experience the real impact of retention based on your offer, your price point, your metrics, and really show you how the formulas within my membership can help you strategically boost those metrics within your business. So I added one super powerful interactive thing to my sales page that meant that 83 % of browsers actually stopped their scroll and interacted with this particular component on my sales page. And it allowed browsers to play with their numbers and see for themselves what huge impact getting people to buy more frequently and for longer periods of time while spending more money would mean for your business.”

Hello, hello and welcome to episode 49 of the podcast. We are one episode away from hitting 50 episodes. If you had told me that almost a year ago, I would never have believed you, but it’s been such a wild ride. And I am super grateful that you decided to come on this journey with me, but
Let’s dive into today’s episode. Today’s episode is super bite sized and is going to take you behind the scenes of something that has worked a treat in one of my recent launches, which is the founding member launch of Retention Lab back in May, 2025. Retention
in general, is such an abstract concept, right? So people, you and I, we all know that retention is really good for your business and super important for your continued ongoing business growth. But it’s absolutely intangible and a fluffy concept until you can put real dollar values, real numbers against this thing called retention.
So for my founding member launch to be a success because my membership is called Retention Lab, I knew that it was really important for people to see just how impactful increasing your retention within your business can be for your bottom line in the long run. So while I obviously can tell you and the other people on my email list and listening to my podcast
that people buying from you more frequently for longer periods of time and people spending more is going to be great for your bottom line. You might not necessarily know what that means within your context. So I wanted to come up with a way for people to experience the real impact of retention based on your offer,
your price point, your metrics, and really show you how the formulas within my membership can help you strategically boost those metrics within your business. So I added one super powerful interactive thing to my sales page that meant that 83 % of browsers actually stopped their scroll and interacted with this particular component on my sales page.
And it allowed browsers to play with their numbers and see for themselves what huge impact getting people to buy more frequently and for longer periods of time while spending more money would mean for your business.
And while I could tell you the ins and outs on this podcast episode, I actually would love to invite you to join me at this upcoming virtual event organized by Brenna McGowan, my business buddy. She was on the podcast in a previous episode. She is an amazing pre-launch strategist and she has invited me to spill the beans on this particular strategy and the thought process behind it
at her upcoming virtual summit Behind the Launch. It is an absolutely free event. You have the opportunity to upgrade to a paid ticket and all proceeds go towards an amazing charity that is really close to Brenna’s heart. So she’s not taking a cut. I’m not taking a cut. There are 20 other
online business owners who are taking you deep inside one thing that worked at their recent launch. It’s no fluff. People are actually talking you through, the thought process, the results, the learnings, the lessons, so you can implement it in your business. As it happens, I was on the attendee side, the previous two seasons, gobbled it all up. I’m still revisiting the gems that people shared,
because I chose to upgrade to ongoing access. And I’m sure this season is not going to be any different. So I’m dropping the link in the show notes for you to hop over to the Behind the Launch website, grab your free access and trust me, it’s totally worth your while. These conversations are recorded on Voxer, raw, uncut. None of them are longer than 10, 15 minutes.
And there are so many golden nuggets there that I personally can’t wait to explore. So if you’re curious to find out what this interactive component on my sales page is that stopped the scroll for 83 % of page browsers, sign up to behind the launch via the link in the show notes. Absolutely free. It’s happening in early February.
So not long to go. If you are tuning into this episode down the track, you can absolutely join Retention Lab because I’m sharing the ins and outs and how exactly I pulled it off inside Retention Lab as one of the formulas. So if you missed behind the launch, no biggie here. Please join us in Retention Lab. You can cancel anytime.
And yeah, see for yourself how you can show rather than tell. Hopefully see you at the upcoming Behind the Launch event. And I cannot wait to share everything with you there. Thank you so much for tuning in and we’ll be back to regular programming next week.
