Dr Courtney Thompson is an Australian nutritionist on a mission to demystify food literacy and drive lasting change. She holds an Honours degree in Biomedical Sciences and recently completed a PhD in public health nutrition, focusing on the development, validation and assessment of food literacy.
She certainly doesn’t do things by halves!
Over the past 8+ years, Courtney has supported some of Australia’s leading food industry organisations and government bodies with all facets of nutrition. Among them, Dairy Australia, Kidney Health Australia and the Tuckshop Revolution.
As you can tell, Courtney loves a challenge so recently launched her own small business supporting corporates, not-for-profits and individuals on their journey towards better nutrition.
Courtney comes from a corporate and academic background, so writing without sounding overly formal never came easy to her. She quickly realized that gaining momentum with everyday Australians needed an objective observer. Someone to come in and turn the courses, memberships and programs she had in mind into easy-to-understand offers that spoke to the core of her audience’s desires and daily struggles.
Courtney had already lined up a web developer to support her with the design of her website, and she needed a small business copywriter like me to fill the design with strategic words.
