If you have a growing list of offers in your business and a nagging feeling that half of them simply aren’t pulling their weight anymore, this episode is going to hit close to home.
In this honest, behind-the-scenes episode, I’m walking you through the reflection process I’ve just been through in my own business, what’s changing and why, and the bigger shift I’m seeing across the online business space in 2026 that I think more of us need to talk about.
Because adding more to your offer lineup isn’t always the answer. And sometimes the bravest thing you can do is take stock of what’s still earning its place.
Shop the Simplification Sale and get 75% off a bulk of my courses and toolkits until 15 October 2026. Prices starting at AUD$2.25!
Why growing a business by constantly adding new offers is a trap a lot of us fall into
How AI has shifted what people want from online courses and self-paced resources
Why tweaking your evergreen funnels won’t fix the real problem
The honest questions to ask each offer in your lineup right now
Why retiring something you’ve built doesn’t mean you’re failing
What I’m focusing on instead, and why done-with-you and done-for-you are where I’m doubling down
How simplifying your offer suite can make it easier for your people to say yes
“I would start by looking at every offer in your business individually and asking yourself the honest question: is this still earning its place in my offer lineup? Does this offer still light me up? Is it actually driving revenue and sales in my business today, not two years ago before AI entered the scene? And would your business change in a meaningful way if those offers were no longer there?”
“These toolkits and courses absolutely used to be the answer to “how do I do this, Nadine”? But now that question gets answered by ChatGPT, by Claude in a matter of seconds, not necessarily with my perspective and the data and the insights that come with the toolkit but in the scheme of things, Claude and Chat are doing such a great job to persuade people that they know everything that all of a sudden that perspective isn’t necessarily as valuable as it used to be on the surface.”

If you’ve got 15 offers in your business and a nagging feeling that half of them simply aren’t working anymore, you’re not alone. Hey, hey, and welcome back to another episode of What Would They Do, the Customer Experience Podcast. Today I am walking you through my recent reflection process, what’s changing in my business as we speak, and why I
Think there is a bigger shift happening in the whole online business space. Over the last 10 odd years that I have been in my business, I seem to have grown my business by adding new things to my offer lineup. Whether that is new courses, I’ve added a membership, I’ve added freebies, resources, evergreen funnels,
and because the offers that I added to my offer lineup kept selling, all was good on the surface. But somehow along the way, nobody has ever taught me to strategically take stock of my business, the offer lineup, what’s working, what’s not working.
And as a mama three who runs an online business who has got plenty on her plate, my energy absolutely is limited. And everything that I have added to my offer lineup over those last few years, and kept running in the background has been eating into that energy. and I’ve certainly felt it, particularly.
This year, 2026 really has pushed me to my limits and tested me. so now I’m faced with a situation where there are funnels that need tweaking because I get new testimonials and fresh insights and
there are course updates to make because things change in the online business space. There are new tools, and resources to consider in the mix, you name it. So there’s constantly something to do in the background to all of those offers and resources and courses that I have. and this constant updating and upkeep really has not only tested me,
But it’s been taking attention away from the things that are working in my business, that are driving the success in my business, and that are ultimately paying the bills and feeding my family. So in this episode, I want to invite you to take a closer look at my business, what’s been happening behind the scenes, but also at your own business based on the process that I have just gone through.
The truth is AI has changed what people need help with and how they want to be helped. Information is everywhere. It’s free or it’s linked to a $20-odd dollar subscription to Claude or chat. It is pretty much instant and sometimes it can even be personalized. So that’s
Had a huge impact on self-paced courses specifically, which is what I had been pushing in my business over the last few years. And these toolkits and courses that I had out in the world absolutely used to be the answer to how do I do this, Nadine? But now that question gets answered by ChatGPT, by Claude.
in a matter of seconds, not necessarily with my perspective and the data and the insights that come with the toolkit and with the strategies that I present in my toolkits. But in the scheme of things, Claude and Chat are doing such a great job to persuade people that they know everything that all of a sudden that perspective isn’t necessarily as valuable on the surface.
Nowadays what I find people are craving human guidance, human perspective, they want accountability and they want someone who’ll look at their unique situation and then tell them what to do with it.
So my lineup of courses, toolkids, online courses used to sell regularly really well via evergreen funnels that I had built and then also tweaked over the years without me having to lift a finger. So I had an evergreen sequence running in the background, like an evergreen nurture sequence that then would pay attention to the signals people were sending me,
and then adding them to those evergreen funnels. And based on that interest and the timeliness, people would then buy into those courses. but these evergreen funnels and sales mechanisms haven’t been working the same way simply because I am trying to sell courses and toolkits off the back of those sequences
That aren’t in the right context and the right format anymore. And I’m not saying here that online courses are dead, the online business space is dying, far from it. I just think we need to accept that the value of online courses has evolved and the shape, format, delivery of those courses has to evolve as well.
So, what I had to realize, over time, is that my online courses and toolkits not selling won’t be fixed by making tweaks to those evergreen funnels that I was just talking about. The demand simply isn’t there anymore. there’s nothing wrong with these courses. I absolutely still rate them. The strategies, the content in them is top-notch and it can absolutely get you results. It’s just that people don’t
value self-guided resources. They want that instant fix. and I’ve known this since earlier this year, but have been too scared to make a final decision. And a not so gentle nudge by Thrivecart, which is my co-course hosting platform.
A few months ago has finally meant that I needed to make a decision. So ThriveCart, Learn platform is going to retire at the end of the year. And Thrivecard has told all its users that they need to migrate across to the new Academy platform, which comes with a lot of back-end work to tweak courses, to bring them across, to make them look good on the new environment, etc. So I have decided.
To retire the bulk of my self-paced courses and toolkits at the end of the year rather than move them across to that new platform. And with that, you can snatch up most of my courses with a 75% discount right now as part of my simplification sale. And that includes things like my list clean toolkit.
which scrubs your list on autopilot and means your email deliverability is top-notch. there’s the WoW Factor Blueprint course to help you create remarkable standout course experiences from the sales page through to the course content or my case study toolkit, which helps you turn client results into trust building sales assets and many others. So until the 15th of October 2026, if you’re listening live.
check it out. you can pick up a course toolkit resource from as little as two dollars twenty-five Australian. So hit up the link in the show notes for more info. Have a look whether there’s something that you want to pick up. they are going to be available on the existing Thrivecard learning portal until early December, which gives you plenty of time to check them out. They’re all bite-sized.
You can download anything you need. so early December when Thrivecard is retiring, set platform is when I’m going to pull the content off the portal. and yeah, so rather than waste my time and energy on rebuilding these courses that will not sell anyway, I have simply decided to focus my energy where it has the biggest impact, which is my retention lab community in both the starter tier.
or the done with you format, which is my retention lab incubator, with one-on-one access to me on demand as you are implementing things in your business and also done for you. So I have discovered, acknowledged, realized that.
I am still as much in love with Done For You work as I was when I first started this business in a copywriter capacity.
And both both of these formats, include my accountability, human touch points, my unique perspective, that I have built over the last ten odd years in my business and ten years before that in the corporate world, which is simply something AI can’t deliver and won’t be able to deliver in the future either.
Is this scary? Absolutely. But I honestly believe that simplifying your business and acknowledging that things have to give doesn’t mean you’re doing less, you’re less ambitious, you’re going to be less successful. It just means this extra energy can go deeper on fewer things and you’re going to deliver them in a better way. You’re going to get better outcomes for your customers, and it’s going to give you so much more.
Brain space, to come up with new things that sit well as a complimentary offer to AI. And that also means my people are much clearer on what I offer, how I can help them, and how they can work with me, which then also means it’s a much easier yes. So
How can you explore this process in your business if you have been in the same boat? You have far too many offers you don’t know what to do with them, you feel overwhelmed. I would start by looking at every offer in your business individually and asking yourself the honest question: is this still
Earning its place in my offer lineup. Does this offer still light me up?
Is it actually driving a revenue and sales in my business today, not two years ago before AI entered the scene? And would your business change in a meaningful way if those offers were no longer there? As in, would you have capacity to look at something else that lights you up, that is a gap in your offer lineup if you retired something that’s already out there?
So to wrap things up, I just want to make a point here. Simplifying your business and cutting back and retiring things that you are emotionally attached to doesn’t mean you’re a failure. It doesn’t mean you’re giving up, you’re pulling the pin. It simply means you are allowing yourself to evolve as a business owner. You are
Allowing yourself to move into that next phase of your business, which is super important right now because holding on to a version of your business that simply no longer exists is going to cut into your confidence, into your bottom line, and yeah, ultimately make you super frustrated and question everything.
If you are curious about offer design and coming up with an offer lineup that makes sense for both you and your customers, then I also invite you to revisit episode 80 with offer strategist Ceels Lockley. She has this super cool take on offer creation where she comes at it from a music festival lineup perspective.
make sure you hit up my simplification sale via the link in the show notes. As I said, bargains from $2.25
